Why SACS?
Shakopee Area Catholic School (SACS) is committed to helping children learn and grow in a Christian environment. We educate students in grades pre-k through 8th, offering a vast array of athletic and extracurricular programs and activities.
The SACS facility is a state-of-the-art building that welcomes the best of technology and tradition. Our atmosphere focuses on spiritual and academic development, and our classrooms reflect designs that meet the needs of today's students.
A letter from SACS Principal:
Hello from SACS! Thank you for visiting our website. Please take some time to browse through the information, pictures and video clips here. We hope that this will give you a helpful, though brief, introduction to Shakopee Area Catholic School (SACS). SACS is an incredible school. We are blessed with an amazing school building surrounded by beautiful fields, gardens, and green spaces. The highly qualified faculty and staff members are dedicated to our education mission and our families are active participants in the education of their children.
At the heart of what we do is our mission to, “Strive to meet students’ needs in a Catholic, Christian environment.” Our faith is the key to our success as we work to develop at atmosphere of respect. Through this, we develop a wonderful environment for teaching and learning. And… SACS is a FUN place to be! I never cease to be amazed at the energy our students, faculty/staff and parents put into making our programs (of all kinds) fun and exciting.
Many students begin their educational journey here at SACS at age 3 in our PerK Pre-K program. It’s a great introduction to the idea of “school” for kids in fun, interactive classrooms. 13 years later… at the 8th grade graduation each year, we see the result of the hard work and dedication: SACS develops confident, positive, and educated young people who are ready to move on to high school where they are recognized as leaders and role models. We believe that our attention to educating the whole person, spiritually, physically and intellectually, is the key to this success.
We love visitors and would love to show you around SACS. Call or email to set up a time!
Once again, thank you for visiting our site, and God Bless!
Scott Breimhorst, SACS Principal
