SACS Curriculum: Religion
Religion Philosophy Statement:
The Shakopee Area Catholic School’s religion philosophy embraces Jesus’ mission in a Catholic atmosphere by making Him known and loved throughout our school community. We believe the purpose of the school’s existence is God-centered education rooted in scripture and faithful to the teachings and tradition of the Catholic Church.
Through our faith-based Religion curriculum we strive to meet the educational needs of each student in a Catholic Christian environment.
SACS promotes teaching of the Catholic Social Teachings through family and school community outreach activities including: Feed My Starving Children, CAP Agency Food Drive, St. Gertrude’s, retreats, field trips, to name just a few.
