Accelerated Reader (NEW for 2009!)

There has been a wonderful change in the Accelerated Reader program at SACS!

We will no longer be publishing a list of Accelerated Reader quizzes on our SACS website, or at the public library because our list of book titles available for AR testing has recently grown from around 12,000 quizzes to the current total which is 106,423 reading practice quizzes!  This number will go up every week as more tests are added to the AR website.

Instead of purchasing our Accelerated Reader quizzes individually, we are now subscribing to a service called Renaissance Place.  We now have access to every AR test as soon as it is available!  Many thanks to the SACS family who donated this to our school!

AR Book Finder allows you to search for AR books in many ways!!  Such as: Title, Author, Reading Level, Interest, Series, etc.

There is also a Home Connect feature with our new program that allows you to access your child’s Accelerated Reader information whenever you would like!  All AR testing is still done on location at SACS, however you can log in to home connect with your child’s user name and password to get up to the minute reports on your students AR progress at any time. Please contact your student’s teacher for their personal user name and password.
